| Purpose: The need for Emergency Medical Technicians is important in each community. These first responders provide aid to victims involved in vehicle collisions, community health care to all ages, and transportation to the hospitals. This program is developed to present the student with the education to the level required by the State of New Jersey, so they can provide health care response as a volunteer or career person. STUDENTS MUST ATTEND ORIENTATION ON AUG 17, 2010. |

| Purpose: First responders could be faced with an unknown explosive device, and fail to recognize the hazard or the precautions that should be taken. This program is designed to educate the first responder of the potential dangers and risks of explosive and IED devices. The course will be instructed through a lecture as well as a practical demonstration. |

| Purpose: This program will consist of various lectures and practical evolutions to meet the competencies for certification in the State of New Jersey. This course will meet the NFPA 1001 standard for level I certification. Students will be required to pass a state written examination, and all practical skills to receive their certification. Students will be permitted to switch between the evening classes to accommodate their schedule and to secure any missed modules. All registered students will receive a complete list of course dates through the mail. |

Students having subjects offered in this class, and meet the requirement by providing a valid certificate for the subject / module, will be excused from attending that subject matter. Attending students will be required to pass a State of New Jersey written examination, and all practical skills to receive their certification certificate. |

Students will be required to complete all homework assignments, and participate in several group sessions. |

| Purpose: This program has been developed for individuals who would be promoting to company officer levels, or those that would supervise personnel in an emergency incident. This course will review the Strategy and Tactics components, discuss your role as the company officer, and how to utilize the NIMS system to maintain integrity, size-up, radio reports and crew safety. The class will be comprised of limited lecture time, filled with facilitated practical evolutions, implementing the use of simulation. Students MUST bring a lunch on each day, and ALL PPE and Spare S.C.B.A. cylinder. |
